We need to hear, respond and offer safe space for men to share their trials, triumphs, truths and tears to heal, help others heal and understand the reality of living in this world, as a man, when he is told to lead and be the head in virtually every aspect of life — workplace, home, financially, emotionally, spiritually and physically. But, is this even realistic? Is every man a leader? Who is teaching him how to lead? Has man been set up to fail from day one? Are assumptions harming men, just like forcing him to fight a battle, simply because he is male? But, can he fight? Where is a man’s outlet? If he cannot measure up, he is often labeled and called derogatory names, then suffers in silence. Life becomes a balancing act between expectations and reality for every man. When he is told to MAN UP, the reality is MAN DOWN! Each speaker offers practical, realistic tips to overcome.
